Parenting and The President

Parenting & The President

It is with great pride that I am pleased to announce a series of articles on Parenting and The President which are now posted on my new blog, The Parenting Doc.

The first article appeared on August 18 and sets the stage with an overview of why the president of the United States needs to become a champion for making effective parenting and parenting education national priorities.  In that article I share a National Effective Parenting Plan that will make it possible for every parent to eventually receive the best parenting education and support, and how the president can help to make that happen.

Subsequent articles in the series, which will also first appear on my blog, will be concerned with regular updates on the progress that is being made in engaging President Obama in these leadership activities.  Also, stories will appear which have to do with such matters as the role of government in assisting parents in raising America's children, the history of such efforts, and the need for a more focused and sustained approach.

In addition, I will be discussing the history of actions that I and CICC and the National Effective Parenting Initiative (NEPI) engaged in during the Clinton and George W. Bush administrations to promote a national effective parenting agenda.

Altogether, these articles will provide an inside look at what is and has been done in our nation to provide parents with the status and education to carry out the most important endeavor of any country, the effective and sensitive rearing and guidance of its young.

Much of this information has never been available for public consumption.

By going to my blog and subscribing, you will be able to not only receive every article written but also be able to comment on making America an even more wonderful place to raise children.

You can also become personally involved and supportive by taking out a membership in NEPI, the National Effective Parenting Initiative.  Your membership dues are not only used to provide the member benefits but to also support the various advocacy actions that are needed to bring these important matters to the attention of the president and the public in general.  This entire effort is of a grassroots nature and membership dues, and funds that have been contributed to CICC over the years, are the only monies that are supporting it now.

There are three membership programs with different benefits and fees:

Parent Memberships

Professional Memberships

Organization Affiliate Memberships

For those of you who want to make a financial contribution but do not want to become members of NEPI, you can support this grassroots effort by making a tax-deductible contribution to CICC.
