Because of the continued and increasing vulnerability of African Americans to the Covid-19 Pandemic, including the Delta Variant, it is wise to make the Effective Black Parenting Program more responsive to combating the Pandemic.

This is happening right now by including a new Program Proverb or Saying as part of one of the Program’s major goals: to model and teach healthy physical habits. The new proverb addresses the reluctance of many African Americans to be vaccinated against the virus, which puts them at an even bigger risk – and this thereby is a life and death matter.

So the Program now urges that parents: Do Not Hesitate – Vaccinate. This should begin by them first being vaccinated, so they would then be modeling this healthy approach. Then they should see to it that their children are vaccinated as soon as possible.

As the former First Lady, Michelle Obama said as she was vaccinated recently, “GETTING VACCINATED WILL SAVE LIVES – AND THAT LIFE COULD BE YOURS”.
