This attractive handbook is what parents who enroll in fifteen session Effective Black Parenting Program receive to support what the program teaches. It begins as the program does with assuming an extremely positive orientation to raising African American children that is called 'The Pyramid of Success for Black Children.'

Parents see how their goals for their children's future can best be achieved if their children develop certain characteristics, and how their modeling and teaching of certain parenting and life practices can increase their children's chances of developing the important characteristics, and, eventually, achieving the goals that parents want for their children.
